What is Playtesting?
Playtesting is a chance for us to invite players like you to try out our games while they’re still in development. Your thoughts, reactions, and ideas help us spot what’s working, what’s not, and where we can make things even more awesome. We also believe that games should be for everyone, meaning that we’re huge fans of accessibility! if you’re a player with any thoughts, opinions, or first-hand experience on how to improve accessibility, we’d love to have you join the crew.
Why Join a Playtest?
- Be the First to Play: Get early access to games and features that no one else has seen yet. The only requirement is that you’re good at keeping secrets!
- Make a Difference: Your feedback directly impacts the game’s development. Based on your experiences, negative or positive, our team of dinos will be able to make informed decisions on what makes the final cut.
- Help create more accessible games: Games should be for everyone, and the best way to achieve that is to have a diverse set of players who can give us valuable insights.

FAQs
Do I need any gaming experience to playtest?
Nope! We welcome players of all skill levels.
When do playtests happen?
Playtests happen Tuesday-Friday 9:00 am- 5:00 pm.
How long does a playtest take?
It depends on the game, but most sessions last between 30 minutes to an hour.
Where are playtests held?
In-person playtests are held at our studio in the Wellington CBD. The exact location will be sent to you once you book a session. If remote, details will be sent to you when we book you in.
Will I get paid for playtesting?
Our playtests are voluntary, but you’ll get a gift card as a thank you for your time. The amount will depend on the length of the test.
Can I share what I playtest?
To keep things fresh and exciting, we ask that you keep everything confidential until the game is officially released. You will need to sign a consent form and Non-Disclosure Agreement to be able to participate in playtesting.
