Multimedia Marketing Artist

About the role:

Permanent full-time, on-site in Wellington, NZ.  32 hours per week, $83,500-$100,500 based on experience.  Part-time with a minimum of 20 hours weekly can also be considered for the right candidate.  Candidates must have the right to work in NZ and relocation to Wellington is available.

Known for our colourful minimalist art style and our commitment to supporting our titles long after launch, Dinosaur Polo Club is looking for an artist to help our Community & Marketing Team take their initiatives to the next level.

Depending on your skills and situation, we’re willing to discuss part-time or full-time hours, with 32 hours weekly as our equivalent of full-time.

What you'll do in this role:

  • Create motion graphics, trailers, and static assets for launches, updates, and marketing campaigns.
  • Produce assets in multiple formats (vector, raster, motion, key art, capsule art) for store pages, social media and other channels.
  • Capture in-game footage of our titles and edit trailers, clips, key art, and high-resolution screenshots for product pages.
  • Create trailer storyboards, key art, and promotional concepts in collaboration with project teams.
  • Ensure all assets align with project and studio brand guidelines across live and unreleased titles.
  • Work with our marketing team to make bespoke large format print pieces for external advertising.
  • Contribute to brainstorm sessions and help turn ideas into finished campaigns.
  • Stay current with social trends and platform best practice (Instagram, Facebook, X, Bluesky, Reddit, Discord, YouTube).
  • Maintain organised, well-documented, and accessible working files across projects.

The skills and experience we're looking for:

You’ll be:

  • Highly organised and dependable, able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Flexible adapting to various placement branding guides from high polish to low-fi content
  • Confident working efficiently and cleanly, adding the polish and finishing touches that elevate campaigns
  • Familiar with branding and know how to package a visual identity across different channels
  • Familiar with different social media and video streaming platforms and what content stands out on each platform
  • Equally comfortable building content for big product launches and for smaller events and campaigns to support our live games and studio efforts
  • Experienced with creating trailers–you know the difference between a teaser, an announcement trailer, and a release trailer and why those differences matter

You’ll need a good working grasp of:

  • Adobe After Effects (trailers and motion graphics)
  • Adobe Illustrator (layouts, assets and exports)
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Storyboarding and workshopping both announcement and launch trailers for new games as well as shorter preview reels for existing games
  • Working across multiple projects and knowing the nuanced differences between them and how to highlight their strengths
  • Preparing files in multiple formats and resolutions
