Experienced Designer

Dinosaur Polo Club is growing yet again! We’ve released Mini Metro and Mini Motorways to great success, we have another exciting title on the way and now we’re on the lookout for an experienced designer to join our team.

We’re looking for someone with several years of experience as a professional game designer! You’ll need to have enough skills to be comfortable jumping into an established project that’s been live for a number of years. The work is highly collaborative, meaning that you’ll be working closely with the rest of the design team and our other departments, frequently performing design reviews and providing feedback.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation of new features, maps, game modes, and other in-game content.
  • Create and maintain design documentation, including feature specification and implementation guidelines.
  • Liaise with the art and programming departments to ensure robust understanding of implementation details.
  • Work with the community management department to facilitate internal and external playtesting, including collating and analysing feedback and data.
  • Regularly take part in design reviews, both offering and responding to feedback from your peers.
  • Be a part of both a department and studio team, actively seeking to develop a method of communicating that is understandable to those outside of your immediate department.

Due to Covid-19 travel and immigration restrictions, applicants must currently be living in New Zealand. We are able to assist with work visas.

About us:

We value a healthy work-life balance where our dinos can flourish both inside and outside of the studio. We have a creative team, challenging opportunities, and a wholesome, supportive studio environment.

We believe that differences such as disabilities, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity and any other aspects of various cultures and identities are important perspectives that contribute to a well-rounded and engaging work environment.
